In this tutorial i am going to show you how to convert a file into ISO or CSO by using the UMDGEN 4.00.
For this you need the UMD GEN and an ISO image
Download UMDGEN 4.00 here
After you download the UMDGEN extract it to a folder in a pc and open it and drag the psp game into the UMDGEN (you should drag the file into explorer menu)
Now if you want to convert the file into .ISO, open the UMD properties in the UMDGEN there you will see an option showing OPTIMIZE. click on the optimize option (which is used to remove the update folder and any padding on the image).Then the UMDGEN starts optimizing your file, once the process completed you can put the game in your memory stick and you can play.(remember in this,The UMDGEN removes the update folder and any padding on the image so there will be difference in the size when compared to the original file,but it won't effect while playing)
But if you want to convert the file into .CSO, open the option save in the UMDGEN there you will see an option showing compressed(*.cso). click on this option ,then a window will open asking you to give a file name to the file you want to convert into .CSO.After you gave a name to the file it will start converting the file into .cso. once the process is completed you can put the .CSO file image in your memory stick and can play.
